Crews called to bedroom fire in Wetherby last night

Fire crews received reports of a blaze at a home in Wetherby shortly after 9.30pm.

The bedroom of the house – on Sandbeck Close – was fully involved in the fire, and crews used two hose reels and four breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.

Oxygen therapy was given to the occupier by the fire service due to them suffering smoke inhalation, and an ambulance was requested.

Crews from Wetherby, Killingbeck and Moortown fire stations attended the incident.
