Appeal to find missing man from Plumstead

Officers are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man who has been reported missing from south-east London.

Abel Van Tonder was last seen on Friday, 6 January. The 45-year-old from Plumstead was reported missing on Friday, 27 January.

He is described as being around 6ft, with long blond or ginger hair and a beard.

He is missing three fingers on his right hand and speaks with a South African accent.

Officers believe he may be sleeping rough and are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101 quoting reference 23MIS003013. Report any immediate sightings to 999.
